Our DU series has achieved the industry’s top-class narrow pitch of 0.4 mm, making them ideal for small devices such as high-performance cameras. It minimizes occupied board space and allows freedom of design.
Key Features
Floating amount with ±0.4 mm
Space saving, High reliability
- Compared with our 0.5 mm pitch floating connector DY series, the DU series reduces the board area about 48% for the plug and about 31% smaller for the receptacle.
- Although the pitch is 0.4 mm, the connector can move ±0.4 mm in the XY direction, absorbing the assembly tolerance.
Prevent Foreign Objects from Entering
- The mating part is box-shaped to reduce contact exposure and prevent foreign objects from entering the connector.
- The contact on the plug side has the same circular arc shape as our DY Series, making it difficult for foreign objects to be trapped.
- Contact exposure on the bottom of the receptacle are eliminated to prevent foreign objects from entering and enable pattern wiring on the bottom of the contacts.
Highly reliable design with an effective mating length of 1.2 mm
Compact 0.4 mm pitch in multi pin count
- The DU Series has an effective mating length of 1.2 mm, ensuring reliability during mating.
- The contact method is antilever type contact.
- Number of positions up to 200 positions
- For 200 positions, the size is 40.36 mm x 7.5 mm

Problem
The existing right-angle connector would not fit the new design, cause connection failure due to vibration, and deteriorate over time.
Solution
Changing to DU series, right angle type, floating structure with floating amount of ±0.4 mm absorbed the vibration, and the customer’s problem was resolved.
